So Christmas is nearly here. Only 5 more sleeps to the big day! I haven’t been feeling very Christmassy yet, which is unusual because normally I LOVE the run up to Christmas. Maybe it’s because we have (temporarily) moved onto our boat and are sailing around Galicia in NW Spain. We are in the middle of renovating the boat and it doesn’t feel very homey yet so we didn’t bother to decorate (much) this year. We also both have had heavy colds. But, tomorrow I am flying home to the UK for 10 days. To get me, and you, in the mood I have been perusing the internet for the best London Christmas decorations.

And the UK capital does not disappoint, there are many fabulous displays about this year.

34 Mayfair

I think 34 Mayfair restaurant might be the winner! This amazing maximalist display consists of 14,000 decorations including 8,400 baubles. They are calling this Christmas makeover “Miracle at 34”.

The Churchill Arms

And is this the most Christmas trees on one building? The Churchill Arms is known for its fabulous floral displays during the summer. This Christmas they have replaced the flowers with (lots) of trees. What a welcoming sight on a cold London night.

Annabel’s

Annabel’s private members club has a giant frosted tree complete with gold baubles. The “tree” covers the faรงade and frames the entrance to the famous nightclub.

Dalloway Terrace

‘Winter at Dalloway’ has been installed at the Bloomsbury Hotel by florists Wild at Heart. This white, natural wonderland is an Instagram smash. Enjoy savoury and sweet fondues wrapped in the cosy throws. Just gorgeous.

Regent’s Road

The angelic display on Regent Street consists of 300,000 LED lights. It was inspired by the first decorations on the street in 1954. Named ‘The Spirit of Christmas’, are you feeling it yet? I think I’m starting to ๐Ÿ™‚

Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney’s Old Bond Street store is a technicolour light fest. Pretty OTT but I think I like it.

Liberty

As you may have seen, I visited Liberty and it’s amazing floating bonsai a couple of weeks ago. The blue and pink stunner is well worth a look if you are in the capital.

The Ritz

And for complete contrast; a beautiful classic tree in red and green at the Ritz.

Cartier

The Cartier store is a favourite on Instagram. The classy, simple, bold bow is certainly eye-catching and aligns with the values of this luxury brand.

So, I am packed, the boat is clean and we are ready to leave. After 10 days visiting friends and family in the UK we will fly back for New Year’s Eve and to start the new decade in Santiago de Compostela. Whether you are having Christmas at home or away I wish you a very merry one and a Happy New Year. See you in 2020! XO💕

P.S. If you still not feeling the Christmas spirit then try this.
