Rituals is a Netherland company making home and body cosmetics. I consider this to be one of my brands to love for their delicious smelling products and brand and value.
Eye-catching, whimsical design
I first discovered Rituals in Amsterdam. I walked past one of their stores. Inside were two (faux)cherry blossom trees with their bloom laden branches stretching across the ceiling. The effect is quite striking, even from the exterior, as you can see at the Covent Garden store pictured below:
Intrigued I headed in and so discovered a world of Asian inspired home fragrances, scent diffusers, shower and bath products and body care. I was especially drawn by the Ayurveda influence in their The Ritual of Ayurveda range. Ayurveda is a way of living that I am exploring at the moment.
Taking a moment to unwind
This brand is all about encouraging us to create time to slow down. To relax and enjoy little moments of peace at home. Their brand motto is “We’re not here to sell you beauty, we are here to make you feel good.” This is somewhat borne out by the inclusion on their site of the Rituals Magazine. This is where they post articles containing yoga and meditation techniques, lifestyle and skincare tips and nutritious, vegetarian recipes. I always feel a bit more relaxed after reading a couple of articles 😊. As for the products; they feel luxury but are pretty affordable.
Looking after others + the environment
As well as a focus on delivering wellness to their customers the brand has good working practices. They are committed to caring for their people. I have these Incense Fragrance Sticks in my living-room. The scent is deep, rich, luxurious. They smell amazing and make me smile every time I walk past.
I keep this candle on my desk. Rice milk and cherry blossom. Quite a delicate but lingering aroma.
A cinnamon and ginger tea, from The Ritual of Ayurveda range. Perfect for balancing my Vata.
