I am totally crushing on furniture and homewares designer Bethan Gray. I first saw her collaboration with Anthropologie. Then I spotted her tableware collection with 1882 Ltd. Her glamorous, contemporary pieces have a gorgeous East meets West meets Art Deco vibe. She is inspired by her travels around the globe. Bethan is Welsh but her family were nomads that travelled from Rajasthan, through Persia before settling in Wales. She believes it is this history that made her keen to explore other cultures. Her collections tick ALL my boxes AND they come in all my favourite colours! Take a look below:

Bethan Grays’ collection with Anthropologie is elegant and sophisticated. It uses velvet, brass and marble. The collaboration consists of 2 collections. Firstly the Feather Collection, which was inspired by…you’ve guessed it…. a feather! Secondly, the Strike Collection, inspired by the Nizwa Fort in Oman.

The Lustre tableware is made in partnership with Emily Johnson of the ceramics brand 1882 Ltd. The collection features 2 designs. The first inspired by the sails of Oman’s sailing boats. The other a stripe pattern inspired by 13th century Persian Lustre bowls. Plates, bowls and cups are handmade, over 12 days, from fine bone china and 24 carat gold. Striking and glamorous, they would steal the show on any modern table.
Nizwa & Dhow

The top image in this set shows a cabinet with the Dhow pattern, also seen on the Lustre tableware collection. The pattern on the other cabinets is inspired by the rounded castellations of the Nizwa Fort in Oman. The ombré effect echoes the the effect of sunlight. The cabinets are made in Muscat. They are available in Charcoal, Coral, Jade, Teal or White. The elegant pattern is picked our in solid brass, copper or nickel. The last image shows the design on digitally printed wallpaper, made in collaboration with NLXL.
Victoria Tea Set & Lighting

Inspired by traditional teaware in the Victoria and Albert Museum archives in London. The Victoria collection is made in Italy from Arabescato marble and brass.
All the designs are so gorgeous, but I’d say my absolute favourites are:
- the Feather chairs and bed with Anthropologie
- the Lustre Dhow patterned tableware
- the Nizwa cabinets in teal
What about you?
